As I tucked my precious son in bed last night I realized something. We read his children’s Bible every night and as I read to him a story from Luke 10 “The Good Samaritan” it made me realize this quote I once read. A man once asked Jesus what do I need to do to get to heaven. The man knew he is to love God with his whole heart, mind and soul and love your neighbor. I never realized yes it is important to love God. But what about your neighbor? It is just as important. Although our salvation is by knowing Jesus. It still is important to love not only God but your neighbor as well. Who is your neighbor you wonder? Everyone around you. Don’t be spiteful. Don’t hate. When someone is in need. Help them. You may be their only hope. So keep in mind the story of “The Good Samaritan” and remember so many people walk past others who are hurting and in pain. You may be in that place one day. Don’t expect anything in return but do it for God. Do it for your treasures you will build in heaven. Treat everyone like God treats you. He is always there. He always helps. He always give peace and comfort. Be that someone. You never know when someone may need Jesus and how much it can change their life.
Have a beautiful day. God bless.
